Supplies:
Royal Blue Seed Beads
Light Blue Seed Beads
Clear Seed Beads
Bead Thread
Bead Needle
Scissors
Wire Cutters
2 Silver Clasps with Fastenings
Step 1: Thread the bead needle with around 24 inches of thread. We are going to begin with the pendant. Start by adding four light blue seed beads and go back through the first seed bead.
Step 2: Add one light blue bead and go through the second bead in the first row. Then add another light blue bead. Continue until you have added four beads for the second row. Then go through the fourth bead in the first row and the first bead in the second row. It should be shaped like a small square.
Step 3: Add two clear beads, and then go through the next corner bead. Add two more clear beads and go through the next corner bead. Continue until you have added two clear beads to every side.
Step 4: Next, Go through the last corner and the first clear bead. Now add one clear bead between every clear bead. This continues all the way around. Go back through the first clear bead you added to that row.
Step 5: Start adding two royal blue seed beads between every clear bead. Continue that all the way around. Then thread back to the center and secure the thread, with a small knot. This will not be visible from the front.
Step 6: Put the pendant aside and begin on the chain for the necklace. Start by adding a seed bead and go back through it. Then add the first silver clasp; it should be facing the bead you just added.
Step 7: Add 20 light blue beads. Add four more and go back through the first of the four. A diamond shape appears. Add another light blue bead and go through the second bead in the diamond. Add another light blue bead and go through the third bead in the diamond. Continue until you reach the last corner of the diamond.
Step 8: Instead of going back around, add 20 more light blue beads. Then create the same small square. Continue the chain until you have created five squares with six sets of 20 light blue beads in between them.
Step 9: Thread on the pendant. Then continue with the chain, making it look exactly like the other side.
Step 10: Add the second silver clasp, facing it away from the necklace. Add a seed bead and go back through. You may want more thread at this point. So, knot the end and cut it. The clasp will cover the knot. Thread the needle with 20 inches of thread and go through either end of the necklace. Go back through the bead before the clasp for added security.
Step 11: Now add 20 royal blue beads. Twist the length around the light blue beads. Go through the side of the square that is opposite to the length of light blue. Add 20 more royal blue beads, twisting it around and putting through the opposite side. Continue both sides this way.
Step 12: After you have gone around the entire necklace, go through the silver clasp and bead. Then back through the silver clasp.
Step 13: This time add 20 clear beads. Twist them around both strands of blue and thread through the light blue square. Continue this all the way around the necklace.
Step 14: Go back through the silver clasp and bead. Knot the thread and cut.
Step 15: Using the wire cutters, close both silver clasps around the bead and knots. Add the fastenings to hooks on the clasps. Close the hooks around the fastenings.
Step 16: Wear it.
